This morning I puttered around until 11 am, trying to update my web page with much frustration. I just wanted to get out on the bike and explore. At 11 am, I had enough and packed my bike with paints and journal. I headed north on Rt. 1A along the coast. It was a beautiful day: sunny, breezy and a bit cool. I rode @ 20 miles to Portsmouth. I tooled around the quaint, yet bustling small town. I located a small bike shop and went in for recommendations on sights to paint. He sent me in the direction of Kittery on Rt. 103. I went over the bridge into Maine and found it just beautiful and away from traffic. I found a couple of historic forts on the coast and spent my time sketching and painting.

Hey, Kaaren -
Kittery is cool - I spent a summer on an island off the coast of ME and NH at the Shoal's Marine Lab. Beautiful place!
like the paintings!
glad you are smelling the roses out there!
